MIA......

Hello hello hello everyone! I'm baaaaack! I know I've been absolutely terrible about posting regularly on my blog and I ask for your forgiveness. What I really need to do is get more organized and put scheduled times and dates on my calendar that I can stick to as reminders to post on my blog. I have calendars for everything else, so why not my blog?! Right!?!? I want this to do well and I know that, in order for anything to work and be successful, there is work that needs to be done behind the scenes. Faith without works is DEAD! I'm not trying to kill off my blog in it's beginning phase! I want it to grow and flourish. I want you all to hold me accountable. Send me a message, put up smoke signals, or whatever crafty idea you may have if I appear to be away for too long. I'd appreciate it!

So! What has everyone been up to? As for me, working. Working in my position as a medical coder, working on my travel business and working at Target, which is my part time gig. I'd heard so many wonderful things about Target from my daughter, who also works there, so I decided to join the crew and make some extra coinage. I must say that it has been quite the experience! Everyone has been super friendly and moving about the store helps keep me physically active, on top of my daily workouts. By the time I get home, I'm pretty exhausted. I have managed to drop some weight, which was on my need-to-do list so I'm pretty stoked about that! I guess the ripping and running at Target, my workouts and better eating is paying off. I have a few more pounds to go, but at this rate, that goal will be accomplished sooner than later. I'm definitely not complaining!

Has anyone gone on vacation so far this summer? If so, where'd you go and what was the occassion? I'd like to hear about your vacay adventures so please, do share!! I'm looking forward to my Puerto Rico trip next month and then my family reunion style Thanksgiving in Tennessee in November! My family hasn't been all together like that in quite a few years and some of them have since passed on. It won't quite be the same because of those who are no longer with us, but we'll make new memories with those of us that are still here. There has also been new additions to our family by way of marriage or the birth of children. Either way, I'm excited and can't wait to see everyone!

Did I mention that I hated moving!? Well, I do, if I didn't. Believe it or not, I'm still going through boxes and containers, making regular trips to the Goodwill and/or giving stuff away or throwing it away. I've made quite a bit of progress since we last spoke and at least now, I can move around in here. Boxes everywhere has been minimized to plastic storage containers in two corners of the dining area. That will soon be downsized and whatever still remains will be organized neatly in the storage closet. The place is starting to look more like a home instead of a storage unit! Lol. If you feel the same way I do about moving and unpacking, I suggest taking your time and working on one room at a time. For me, it's more encouraging to see the rooms develop into living spaces that I don't mind occupying. Don't rush if you don't have to because you're likely going to throw out or give away things that you actually intended to keep during your frenzy of trying to get everything completely unpacked and in it's proper place. But, who's to say that where you had it at the last residence, is where you want it in the new one?? Ponder that question before starting the process. That's what I did and some things, I kept more familiar, others I completely revamped. You're in there now. Make it into what you want it to be. Get some inspo from Pinterest and have fun with it. Make it a DIY project! You have options, you know. :)
